Payday Loans Gone Bad

Miami Tribe of Oklahoma is accused of charging illegal interest rates on payday loans. By Marie Price The Journal Record Oklahoma City - A class-action lawsuit filed in a Pennsylvania federal court accuses several lenders, including some tied to the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, of charging illegal interest rates on payday loans. The legal action was filed on behalf of Matthew Walp of Bensalem, Penn., who allegedly applied for and received several payday loans on Web sites operated by one or the other of the seven named and 10 “John Doe” loan companies.
