OK Ranked 40th among the 50 states
The annual
Kids Count Report released today will show that Oklahoma's ranking of well being of children and teenagers has worsened from last year. Oklahoma ranked thirty-eighth last year, slipping two points. Also worsening under the Henry administration was Oklahoma in six categories including child death rates, teen death rates and low birthweight babies. According to the report, there was an increase in the percentage of children living in single and unemployed, female headed households.
