FORT GIBSON, Okla. (AP) -- Fort Gibson attorney Dianne Barker Harrold says she's running for a seat in the Oklahoma House as a Democrat. The seat now is held by Barbara Staggs but the state's term-limits rules will keep her from running for another term.
Harrold is a former district attorney for four northeastern Oklahoma counties, having served eight years in that job. She also a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and is now serving as general counsel to the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees.
